At a Glance

Legrand has an exciting remote opportunity for a Creative Manager to join the Data Power & Control Team. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Marketing and creatively lead design projects from concept to production with a focus on project goals, brand story, customer experience and on time project delivery. Designs the layout, typography and visual assets for brand websites, landing pages, digital media, product brochures, trade shows and advertising.

The role regularly collaborates with the product management and marcom teams to ideate and execute campaigns and programs to meet goals. Manages and provides day-to-day guidance and support to the creative design team, exercising authority and accountability to creatively problem-solve issues and continually monitor and assess the team's performance.

What Will You Do?

  • Steward corporate brand strategy and plans associated with brand architecture, positioning and visual identity. Drive coordination and adaption of brand strategy across division.
  • Manage production and creative work across internal teams, external agencies and consultants with clear direction and encouragement for efficient use of resources and improvement.
  • Collaborates with Corporate Marketing Department to ensure the divisions business needs are supported through provided corporate guidelines.
  • Works to evolve the brand guidelines as necessary to meet the Division's unique needs. Develops and manages the DPC brand transition across all Business Units.
  • Manages, motivates, streamlines and maximizes efficiency of the design team.
  • Establishes and maintains employee performance standards. Manages design team to goals and defines development needs. Provides ongoing, timely feedback and periodic formal performance evaluations, per company guidelines.
  • Develops a pipeline of capable and trusted design outsourced resources so that work could expand as necessary to managing the workflow / queue, allowing work capacity to be as flexible as possible. Oversee and coordinates the design and production process with outside vendors.
  • Responsible for the conception, development and execution of multiple design projects, including but not limited to email templates, product brochures, videos, advertising layouts, campaign concepts, presentation materials, and web promotions using innovative idea creation, design and customer experience to achieve marketing goals
  • Collaborates with the Marketing team and contributes to the creation and delivery of innovative campaigns and programs - includes brainstorming, routes for delivery, user experience, message to support the project goals.
  • Develops concept mockups to visualize new ideas in context
  • Responsible for front end web design.
  • Leads the layout, development and administration of landing and product pages.
  • Leads the development and maintenance of marketing automation templates and design of external communications.
  • Manages the successful execution of videos and photo shoots
  • Maintains technology platforms including but not limited to Asana, Brand Websites, Content Management, and other cloud-based applications.
  • Manages to set budget for all design team activity and tools, with ongoing updates to tracking tools.
  • Develops, drives and improves production workflow while establishing best practices to maximize efficiencies in productivity while improving the quality of the creative output.
  • Develops, tracks and presents metrics of success for design initiatives.
  • Effectively communicates and collaborates with stakeholders at all levels at Legrand.

  • Qualifications
    Required Skills

    EDUCATION:
    • Bachelor Degree in Graphic/Fine Arts or related field

    EXPERIENCE:
    • 10+ years of experience in Graphic Arts and/or Digital Design, preferred.

    SKILLS/KNOWELDGE/ABILITIES:
    • Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role with a demonstrated ability to lead, develop and motivate staff to innovate and accomplish overall objectives, preferred.
    • Work experience demonstrated across a robust portfolio of strong story-telling.
    • Able to evaluate customer requirements, identify options and implement effective solutions. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, organize and accomplish a diversified workload and team.
    • Excellent skills in project management, demonstrated ability to make timely and effective decision, and handle multiple priorities.
    • Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment.
    • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
    • Requires expert level in Adobe Creative Suite
    • Requires working knowledge of HTML and familiarity with CSS
    • Requires expertise in typography, design, video editing
    • Requires expertise in marketing practices, and must have awareness of current trends in advertising and design.
    • Knowledge of Data Center or Technology Market a plus.
