At a Glance

Legrand has an exciting remote opportunity for a Content Marketing Manager to join the Starline Team. The successfull candidate develops and implement the content strategy for Legrand's Data Center Businesses. The Content Marketing Manager ensures the right digital content is developed to support products, promotions and thought leadership, and that it's placed in market to appear at the right time at the right place for conversion optimization. The role regularly collaborates with the product management and the marcom team to share ideas and develop content plans that support the marketing strategy. Manages and provides day-to-day guidance and support to the content team, exercising authority and accountability to creatively problem-solve issues and continually monitor and assess the performance of content placed in market. The ideal person for this role is excited and knowledgeable about the ever-changing tech industry.

Works with minimal supervision, is expected to take initiative / lead projects and must have the ability to communicate well and perform under pressure. This position reports to the Director of Marketing.

What Will You Do?

MAIN JOB DUTIES:

  • Responsible for developing a content strategy for the division including planning, creation and distribution of content.
  • Developes messaging strategies for new products being brought to market.
  • Creates engaging, technically accurate and creative copy for various forms of communications including but not limited to ads, email, website, social, brochures and some long form content.
  • Develops creative campaign messages for the various products within the division and for the various verticals they serve.
  • Collaborates with the Marcom team and contributes to the creation and delivery of innovative campaigns and programs - includes brainstorming, routes for delivery, user experience, message, and conversions.
  • Responsible for the development and updates of Website. Delivers strategic planning, preparation, and publication of targeted online content to increase the flow of traffic to the website.
  • Meet frequently with Product Management to gain a clear understanding of products for messaging development.
  • Creates and tailors copy for the different stages of the buying cycle to optimize conversions.
  • Analyzes and anticipate interests of a targeted audience.
  • Works with Marketing Operations to determine keywords for content development, leads web publishing tasks.
  • Stays up to date with industry trends and news to become an authority on the subjects for which you are creating content.
  • Manage project flow from the initial creative consultation to content approval.
  • Effectively communicates and collaborates with stakeholders at all levels at Legrand.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Qualifications
    Required Skills

    EDUCATION:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or any technical field.

    EXPERIENCE:
    • 6+ years of experience in Marketing Communications, messaging strategies, website optimization, conversions, online marketing, and/or customer retention.

    SKILLS/KNOWELDGE/ABILITIES:
    • Strong, demonstrated track record of creating effective, results-oriented creative copy for web, collateral, ads and other marketing materials.
    • Minimum 3yrs writing background required (Web, articles, collateral, advertisement, white papers)
    • Experience in developing content strategies and messaging portfolios
    • Work experience demonstrated across a robust portfolio of strong story-telling.
    • Requires expertise in marketing practices, and must have awareness of current trends in advertising, user journey and conversions.
    • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role with a demonstrated ability to lead, develop and motivate staff to innovate and accomplish overall objectives.
    • Ability to quickly learn new products and execute accurate content to target
    • audience.
    • Demonstrates strong interpersonal communication, problem solving and project/time management skills.
    • Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment.
    • A proven background writing and/or working for a technology company is a plus.
    • Technical writing experience, a plus.
    • Creative writing experience required.
    • Must have portfolio of writing samples and be able to present at interview.
