At a Glance

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Accounts Receivable Associate to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Team in Syracuse, NY. In the role you will be responsible for the data entry for SPA claims, issuance of credits for ship and debit claims, and responsible for collecting repayment of ship and debit claims which are invalid. Coordination of chargeback documentation, credit memo's, and for the processing of all customer deductions for assigned territory, errors. Responsible for resolving all customer complaints regarding pricing in accordance with company policies.

What Will You Do?

Main Job Duties:

  • Responsible for data entry of SPA claim data.
  • Validate and process SPA rebate credits. If invalid, return to customer with explanation for future processing or denial. Collection of over claimed SPA's.
  • Process all incoming customer deductions to ensure quick turnaround for either repayment or credit. Ensure cooperation with other departments regarding validation for credit or denial for repayment in accordance with company policies
  • Coordination of matching and charge backs created with proper documentation for distribution. Distribution of credit memos.
  • Input of various credit memos as required.
  • Prioritize workflow to respond to customer issues, month end closing deadlines and quality issues.
  • Responsible for processing quarterly cash discount to Wiremold customers.
  • Responsible for processing intercompany transfers on a monthly basis.
  • Performs other similar and related duties as required.
  • Special projects and other data requirements.

    Required Skills

    EDUCATION
    • Associate or Bachelor's degree

    EXPERIENCE
    • 2 years experience in an accounting department

    SKILLS/KNOWELDGE/ABILITIES
    • Basic understanding of accounting functions and basic knowledge of economics, sales, and marketing.
    • Requires close attention to detail, ability to audit work to identify issues and implement processes to prevent errors.
    • Must be proficient in spreadsheets (Excel)
    • Must have working knowledge of Access and query building.
    • Must have good verbal and written communications skills.
    • Good computer skills, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and email software
