Position Description


This role is responsible for welding manufactured components consisting of aluminum, steel and stainless steel according to customer specifications. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.



Essential Functions:
  • Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on manufactured components
  • Inform supervisors of any part or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem
  • Follow instructions as provided by supervisor
  • Complete assigned work within given timeframe and according to specifications
  • Adhere to all company safety regulations, including those regarding machine operation
  • Cooperate with other employees in the department to maintain a safe working environment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications


Skills/Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of welding experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and prints is preferred
  • Knowledge of quality assurance concepts to identify and prevent errors within the production process
  • Ability to work overtime when required


Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to arrive promptly for shift and stand and/or walk for duration of shift
  • Ability to read, hear, speak, kneel, bend and use a step ladder or stool
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds
  • Capable of working in a manufacturing environment
