At a Glance

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Support Representative to join the Lighting Sector Team in Union City, California. The successful candidate will work within the Sales Administration team by providing assistance to our Inside Sales team through the copying and distribution of sales orders, working with the Production and Engineering teams on the process and release of job folders, and also serving as the backup for the Receptionist to provide quality customer service at all times. This position is responsible for completing tasks in a timely and accurate manner with a strong attention to detail, and ability to develop and maintain superior customer service relationships. This role reports to and directly supports the Sales Operation Manager.

What Will You Do?
  • Process and release job folders to Production and Engineering.
  • Serve as main back up for the company Receptionist; manage multiple incoming phone lines in a professional and efficient manner; take complete, accurate telephone messages or direct calls to appropriate person.
  • Welcome visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone; answer or refer inquiries to appropriate person.
  • Maintain file cabinets by filing folders accurately and boxing for storage as needed.
  • Order and maintain office supplies and other related office materials.
  • Assist with factory event planning and guest arrangements.
  • Assist with refreshment order coordination and set up for factory visits.
  • Provide administrative support to the Inside Sales Team, including but not limited to copying, filing, and folder retrieval.
  • Other related projects as assigned by the Sales Operations Manager.

Qualifications


Required Skills

EDUCATION:
  • 2+ years prior office experience; AA/AS degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience working a multi-line phone system with excellent verbal speaking skills and the ability to diagnose a caller's needs and direct them to the appropriate party as needed.

SKILLS/KNOWELDGE/ABILITIES:
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work assignments, and remain organized with quickly changing priorities.
  • Ability to communicate with clear, concise e-mail messages.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization in a confident and friendly manner.
  • A proven record of dependability and high personal integrity.
  • Passion for quality and customer service.
  • Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment.
  • Quick learner who can efficiently perform a wide range of tasks.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor with excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
