At a Glance

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Associate to join the Legrand North America Logistics Team in Dayton, Ohio. The successful candidate must possess a basic understanding of internal processes and systems and will be responsible for performing various clerical and physical tasks that provide direct support to departmental as well as overall warehouse operations.

What Will You Do?
  • Follows all established policy and safety guidelines.
  • Performs assigned warehouse tasks associated with inventory control, receiving, material handling, or order fulfillment.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • Operates a variety of warehouse equipment (e.g. Computer Systems, Electric Pallet Jacks, Manual Pallet Jack, Stretch Wrap Machine). Does not operate the following MHE: Forklift, Reach Truck, or Stock Picker.
  • Demonstrates mastery of at least one but no more than three warehouse functions.
  • Follows other job-related instructions and performs job-related tasks as requested.

Required Skills

EDUCATION:

High School diploma/GED or equivalent is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

0-12 months in a warehouse or similar environment.

SKILLS/KNOWELDGE/ABILITIES:
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with some direction.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
  • Ability to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Basic computer/keyboarding skills.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, twist, and bend to the floor for duration of work period.
  • Ability to Lift/carry/maneuver heavy material or equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Team player capable of working with a wide range of people.
  • Must have positive communication and interpersonal skills.
