At a Glance

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Senior SAP BA - Finance and Controlling to join the Legrand North America Team. The Sr. SAP Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting and enhancing Legrand's global SAP application. The BA works directly with business customers and is involved in capturing business requirements, solution design and implementation. The BA will collaborate with the development team and other functional team members to provide comprehensive cross functional solutions.

What Will You Do?
  • This position will provide support for the Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) areas relative to the SAP application solution. As functional requests or enhancements or new implementations arise, this individual will be responsible for understanding the business need and translating that need into an appropriate resolution approach that fulfills the request and aligns with the company's strategic direction for growth.
  • The SAP Business Analyst will follow the development lifecycle around the SAP environment from defining requirements with business representatives, design, configuration, functional specification development and testing of required objects, to final production migration.
  • Conduct presentations to client audiences and professional peers and communicating with colleagues, management, and business team members on requirements, problems, project status, and issues.
  • Researching and maintaining knowledge in emerging technologies and their application to the business.
  • Assist with the creation, development and implementation of IT processes and procedures.
  • Consistently support compliance by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, and the Company's policies and procedures.

Qualifications


Required Skills



EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field and a minimum of six (6) years working experience in various business areas; or combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers, internet and Microsoft Office suite of software including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook (or related e-mail system); Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio to document project and implementation methodology deliverables.


EXPERIENCE:
  • Must have five (5) years of SAP Finance and Controlling configuration experience.
  • Must have a good understanding of finance and controlling business processes.
  • Must have participated in at least two company code level SAP implementations in the FICO role.
  • Thorough understanding of Finance/Controlling related master data definitions and master data mapping rules relative to GL, AP, AR, Inventory, Fixed Assets, Controlling and Costing.
  • Detailed experience with Finance/Controlling business processes including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory, Fixed Assets, Controlling and Costing.
  • Experience with configuration of COPA functionality within SAP is required.
  • Experience in an international multi-company code, multi-currency environment and dealing with intercompany transfers of goods and month-end closing processes.
  • Some experience with product costing in a discrete manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Some experience with SAP BPC systems is highly desirable.
  • Data conversion using SAP Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW) or similar applications.
  • Must be able to function in a deadline driven environment.
  • Proven ability to make sound decisions to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
  • Excellent project management, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage several projects at one time while providing high attention to details and excellent follow-through skills.
  • Must possess high degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information.

SKILLS/KNOWELDGE/ABILITIES:
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to analyze technical information.
  • Experience with the full project lifecycle and associated processes (requirements definition, design, development, test, train, deploy, support).
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage to tight timelines.
  • Positive, energetic attitude, and initiative; Strong work ethic.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must possess high degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Must be eligible to work and reside in the USA.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required (for the majority of the working day) to sit and make coordinated movements of the fingers for data entry on a keyboard.
  • General office environment
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Must be available for long and varied work hours at times.
  • Long-distance or air travel as needed - not to exceed 50% on average.
